About Our Atelier
Şerif Ağa Jewelry is a small goldsmith's atelier inside Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. Every piece we make is solid 14K gold, stamped 585, and finished by hand, one at a time, in our own workshop. It is made by people, not in a factory.
Three generations at the bench
Our masters are third generation goldsmiths. Their fathers and grandfathers worked gold in this same bazaar.
Where we come from, making jewelry is not a craft you pick up. It is a quiet art, handed down. Şerif grew up inside it: the soft shine of gold, the patient tapping of a jeweler's hammer, the way a plain piece of metal becomes something a family keeps. This shop, opened in the spring of 2026, is a new chapter of that much older story, carried forward in his own voice.
Solid gold. Never plated, never hollow.
Every piece is solid 14K gold, stamped 585. Not plated. Not gold-filled. Not vermeil. Not semi-hollow. That distinction is the whole reason this atelier exists.
Plated and filled jewelry wears through exactly where a piece is worn hardest: the edge of a nameplate, the knuckle, the back of the neck. Once the base metal shows, it cannot be repaired. Semi-hollow pieces weigh less because there is less gold inside them. Solid gold has no layer to lose. It is gold all the way through, which is why our prices are not the lowest you will find, and we would rather tell you that honestly.
Honest about stones
Pieces set with natural diamonds say so and list their specifications. Pieces set with cubic zirconia say that too, just as plainly. You will never have to guess which one you are buying.
